On Sunday Rafi and I went to Tel Aviv for the day. We were headed to the beach to do some beach combing - one of my favorite activities, and a much loved hobby. First, we needed to stop and pick up my long-lost water bottle. I had left my water bottle in the freezer of the first apartment we had sublet in Ramat Gan. Wow, that was a ways back! We were to meet Udi, the guy we sublet from, at his work where he would have the bottle. It all went well and we left his phone store, pink bottle in hand, headed in the direction of the beach.
We walked the whole way from the Arlozorov bus station to Udi's work, and then stopped for the packed lunch I brought along. We walked the rest of the way to our secret spot for gathering shells. I collected while Rafi enjoyed himself by reading on some rocks. It was a nice afternoon and I collected some fine specimens.
On the way back to the bus after beach combing, we walked along the coast. There we were able to see the most gorgeous sun set I have ever seen in my life. Too bad we did not bring the camera with us to Tel Aviv - we would have taken some amazing pictures.
All in all, it was a fun day in Tel Aviv!
